# Email Verify

Email Verify checks whether an email address is real and deliverable: syntax,
disposable-domain, MX-record, role-account checks plus a live SMTP mailbox
handshake through the REST API. It is built for senders, developers, and AI
agents that need to verify addresses before sending.

## MCP server (recommended for AI assistants)

- Endpoint: https://email-verify.simplebusinesssuite.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, POST)
- Tool: verify_email - verify one address, returns a verdict (valid, invalid,
  risky, unknown) with reason codes. Costs 1 credit per call.
- Auth option 1 - OAuth 2.0 (used by Claude, ChatGPT, and other connector
  directories):

- ChatGPT: Settings, then Apps and connectors, then add a custom MCP server
  with https://email-verify.simplebusinesssuite.com/mcp and OAuth.
- Grok: Connectors, then New Connector, then Custom. Paste https://email-verify.simplebusinesssuite.com/mcp; if
  OAuth is not offered, use an API key as a Bearer token instead.
- Muse: ask Muse to add a custom connector for Email Verify and give it
  https://email-verify.simplebusinesssuite.com/mcp plus this page (https://email-verify.simplebusinesssuite.com/connectors). Muse can store your API

## REST API

- POST https://email-verify.simplebusinesssuite.com/api/verify with {"email": "a@b.com"} and an API key
  (Authorization: Bearer evk_... or X-API-Key header), then poll
  GET https://email-verify.simplebusinesssuite.com/api/jobs/{job_id} for the full SMTP verdict.
